24 hours of Hostelity
At 0900 we were off at 0906 we were back and thats the way the next 24 hours would go, round and round. The course was laid out on a .65 loop that was to have 120' of gain per loop. This was my first 24 hour event so I didn'tknow what to expect. About a week ago Mitch and I Signed up for this event to help raise money for a young friend that is battling cancer. Not really thinking about the race at hand but consintrating more on raising money it would be the first loop that we realized what we had gotten into. I pushed pretty hard for as long as I could. At around 12hrs I started slowing down and things started hurting. I pushed on taking one long 3 hour break from 0300-0600. I finished the last 3 hours out strong with a total of 124 laps at 80 miles, good enough for the win and it was a win for #teamtyler.
